They are created in 1998 from guitar player and vocal Chris Bay, who is coming from a family of professional musicians. In the beginning he plays with the drummer of Gamma Ray, Dan Zimmermann and guitar player Sascha Gerstner, who later joins Helloween. By now Freedom Call have 10 studio albums, the last one M.E.T.A.L. came out in 2019 and will be presented for the first time in Bulgaria. "Everybody who's heard the album has told us that some of the tracks could easily have featured on our first recordings," Chris Bay explains with some pride, adding: "To me such statements are a big compliment because they imply that there's a typical musical fingerprint, characteristic Freedom Call DNA that we've remained faithful to."

The second edition of Midalidare Rock in the wine valley will be on the 14^th, 15^th, 16^th and 17^th of July 2022.
