There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to scale the heights that Judas Priest have during their 50-year career. Poised now to celebrate that illustrious career as they enter their 50
th year in the industry - 2020 will see the band embark on an epic 50
th anniversary tour in celebration. The tour includes Bulgaria, as it is now announced that the band will be part of Midalidare Rock in the wine valley.
Their presence and influence remains at an all-time high as evidenced by 2018's 'Firepower' being the highest charting album of their career, a 2010 Grammy Award win for 'Best Metal Performance', plus being a 2006 VH1 Rock Honors recipient and a 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination.
"We are extremely happy that Judas Priest chose us to celebrate that special moment of theirs in Bulgaria. We have a double reason to celebrate, because in 2020 Midalidare will become 10 years old, so with will be a special festival", says Aleksander Aleksiev, manager at Midalidare Estate.
"The choice of Judas Priest is not random. As we promised, the second edition of Midalidare Rock in the wine valley will upgrade what we have done with the first one in 2017. This tour of Judas Priest will be something unique. The fans in Bulgaria will have the chance to see the show before that", says Aleksi Kalev, from Bulgarian Live Music, organizer of the festival in the wine valley.
The second edition of Midalidare Rock in the wine valley will be on the 14th, 15th,
16th and 17th of July 2022.
