TWISTED SISTER CANCEL THEIR WORLD TOUR

Medical issues with Dee Snider force cancellation

Today it became clear that due to health problems of vocalist Dee Snider, Twisted Sister are postponing their world tour, which was supposed to pass through Bulgaria as part of the Midalidare Rock In The Wine Valley festival.
Twisted Sister's management shared – "Unfortunately, Twisted Sister are canceling their 50th anniversary tour. A series of health problems with vocalist Dee Snider have forced the cancellation of the planned concerts, starting on April 25 in Brazil and continuing throughout the summer. Twisted Sister's future will be determined in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for news."
Dee Snider adds that his life filled with legendary aggressive performances has left its mark on his body and soul. Unknown to the public (until now), Dee Snider suffers from degenerative arthritis and has undergone several surgeries over the years just to be able to continue performing, only managing to perform a few songs at a time, in pain. On top of all this, Dee has recently realized that the intensity with which he has dedicated himself to his work has also taken a toll on his heart. He can no longer push the boundaries of rock n’ roll fury, as he has done for decades. Dee Snider says, “I don’t know any other way to do rock. The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I would rather retire than be a shadow of my former self.” As the immortal Dirty Harry says, “A man has to know his limits.” Unfortunately, Dee Snider already knows his limits.
“We wish a speedy recovery to Dee Snider, who left his mark on Midalidare Rock In The Wine Valley during our first edition in 2017. This news is shocking to us too, but we are starting work on finding a worthy headliner to replace Twisted Sister,” share the organizers from Midalidare.
After the announcement of the new headliner, single-day ticket holders will have one month to return them from their place of purchase or keep them without the need for revalidation.
