ACCEPT, SAXON, HAMMERFALL AND DELAIN AT MIDALIDARE ROCK

Accept

German heavy metal machine Accept are the second headliner of the fourth edition of Midalidare Rock In The Wine Valley. The band, known for their extremely powerful live shows, will play on the first day of the festival on July 12th, 2024. Besides them, Friday's day will also see Saxon, HammerFall and Delain. "On this day we will have two co-headliners who will have identical sets of 75 minutes and Accept are coming with a 90 minute set," the organisers reveal.
Formed in Germany in the late 1970s, Accept are considered the founders and pioneers of heavy metal music, creating many of the genre's all-time classics. Their distinctive style cannot be mistaken. They have influenced the work of bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Mötley Crûe, Anthrax, Testament and many more, and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett told German magazine "Gitarre & Bass"- "Wolf Hoffman was a huge influence on me". Accept's commercial success began with the album "Balls To The Wall" (1983), which achieved gold status in the USA and Canada and gave rise to their well-known hit "Balls To The Wall". The band has been a global music phenomenon for over 40 years, continuing to hold positions in the Top 10 of the global charts, with over one billion song streams and millions of albums sold.

Saxon

Saxon are the leaders of the new wave of British heavy metal. Formed in Barnsley in 1977, to date the band have eight UK Top 40 albums, as well as four UK Top 10 albums and two Top 5 albums. They have had numerous UK singles chart and chart successes in Europe and Japan, as well as success in the United States. In the 1980s Saxon established themselves as one of the most successful metal bands in Europe. The band toured regularly and sold more than 13 million albums worldwide. Their latest album, Hell, Fire and Damnation, will be released on January 19, 2024.

HammerFall

Swedes HammerFall were founded in 1993 in Gothenburg. In 2000, the album "Renegade" went number one in their homeland and went gold. In 2002, the band released the song "Hearts On Fire", which became the band's biggest hit, with over 80 million streams on Spotify to date. The song became the anthem of the Swedish Olympic women's curling team, leading to the band performing at the opening ceremony of the European Athletics Championships in front of 250 million spectators worldwide. During their thirty-plus year career, Swedish Titans have topped the album charts both domestically and internationally, sold out tours, reached gold status and amassed over 240 million streams on Spotify and over 130 million views on YouTube.

Delain

Delain is a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 2002 by former Within Temptation keyboardist Martijn Westerholt. The band has released seven studio albums and three EPs, featuring guest appearances by artists such as Sharon Den Adel of Within Temptation, Marko Hietala of Nightwish and Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy. The band has been part of festivals such as Wacken, Graspop and Download. With a revamped line-up featuring the stunning and breathtaking vocals of Diana Leah, Delain are ready to continue their journey on the global metal scene.
