Italian "goth metal" band Lacuna Coil will fulfill their promise from last year and come for the third edition of the festival in the wine valley
Winners of Best Live Act 2018 at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, Lacuna Coil are joining Midalidare Rock in the Wine Valley 2023. The Italians failed to make it to the 2022 edition, but have promised to do so this year and keep their promise. The most popular Italian metal band has numerous awards, including Best Live Act in 2018 at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, Best International Band in 2016 at the Metal Hammer Awards (Germany) and Best Album in 2012 at the Female Metal Voices Fest Award. The band's lead singer Cristina Scabbia has been a special guest on songs by artists such as Megadeth, Apocalyptica, Alter Bridge, Tarja Turunen and many more. Lacuna Coil were formed in 1994 in Milan, Italy and are distinguished by their gothic style and melodic female vocals. The band has sold over two million copies of its nine studio albums worldwide. The band's latest album is 2019's Black Anima, which came just a year after the release of their debut album Nothing Stands in Our Way in 2018. "We are extremely busy. We had a lot of gigs between the Delirium and Black Anima albums, released a book and reached the 20th anniversary of our debut. We made a big change in our vision, and our show went to a new, higher level," says vocalist Cristina Scabbia. "Lacuna Coil for a band with many fans in Bulgaria and we are sure that the wait will be worth it. They are included on July 1, the second day of the festival. Very soon we will also announce the headliner for that day," say the organizers.
